What we do

Bringing a little brightness to the lives of people recently diagnosed with kidney cancer.

Providing Butterfly Boxes and Butterfly Comfort Cushions to newly diagnosed kidney cancer patients who are starting treatment. Hoping to reduce isolation and anxiety at a difficult time, whilst raising awareness.

Due to the challenges of Covid-19, Butterfly Boxes are no longer available through clinics, but are still free, with just a small donation to cover UK postage fees.

They are provided free for all newly diagnosed patients starting treatment, usually a nephrectomy.

They are a lovely gift for your relative, friend, or loved one to receive, adding brightness at a difficult time .

"One of the most important things you can do on this earth is to let people know they are not alone."

- Shannon L. Alder -

As a relatively rare cancer, the level of support and awareness for kidney cancer is often  limited, and can lead to additional anxiety for patients.

The charity Kidney Cancer UK, kindly provide leaflets of support information that is contained within the Butterfly Boxes. This invaluable information provides essential details of the support  that Kidney Cancer UK can offer to patients and families.

Make a Difference Now

You can help make a difference to the lives of people recently diagnosed with kidney cancer by supporting Butterfly Boxes.

As a self-funded community project, we rely on  donations. There are different ways that this can be done. Your kindness enables us to continue to support kidney cancer patients.

Your donations will support patients attending Addenbrooks, Colchester, and Chelmsford hospitals.

However, since Covid 19, this means that being online allows us to reach out further afield across the country.
